We always love hearing about children’s successes both in and out of school and will continue to celebrate these in our Friday Celebration Assemblies. Thank you to everyone who supported our recent Type Onesie Day. Together we raised £257 for Diabetes UK while also learning about Type 1 diabetes awareness.
Our attendance remains strong, placing us within the top 10% of FFT schools nationally. Thank you to families for supporting this, as regular attendance is vital for both academic progress and well-being.
February is packed with events, including Safer Internet Day, helping pupils learn how to stay safe online, and the upcoming FROGS Discs. We also look forward to our Special Lady Lunch in March, giving children the opportunity to share a lunchtime with someone special in their lives.
Year 4 swimming begins this term. This is an important life skill and National Curriculum requirement and children will take part in a series of coached sessions at Leesland Pool. We are also excited for World Book Day in March, where we will celebrate reading with optional costumes and book activities.
Finally, we’re delighted to share the happy news that Mrs Warner is expecting her second child. We send her our warmest congratulations as she prepares for maternity leave later this year.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support — Go Gomer!
