Every Friday, our school comes together for one of the highlights of the week, which is our Celebration Assembly, proudly led by our Associate Headteacher Mrs Digby. This special time gives us the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the fantastic achievements of our children, both in and out of school. From excellent effort in lessons to demonstrating our school values every day, we love shining a spotlight on what makes our learners so brilliant.
A key part of the assembly is our Child of Character Award, which reflects our core values of Honesty, Faith and Courage. These awards recognise children who consistently demonstrate these qualities and set a wonderful example to others across the school. We are also always amazed by what our children achieve beyond the classroom. Each week, we hear about an incredible range of talents and successes and last week was no exception; from martial arts, to rugby and dance to gymnastics and more. A huge well done to our Isle of Wight Festival dancers for their fantastic success, and to our gymnast for achieving impressive scores.
Our assemblies often run over time, but for all the right reasons; we simply have so much to celebrate. Well done, everyone. You make us incredibly proud.
Keep being brilliant, children – Go Gomer!
