As our Year 6 pupils continue working hard to prepare for the transition to secondary school, we are also focusing on the importance of developing a wide range of essential life skills. While academic readiness is key, learning how to collaborate, communicate effectively, and take responsibility is just as vital for success in the next stage of their education.

This week, pupils have been exploring these skills through hands-on LEGO projects. They have been developing their scientific understanding by investigating pulleys, levers, and cogs, while also practising how to carefully follow instructions to build a variety of creations. Along the way, they have demonstrated excellent teamwork and clear communication as they worked together to solve problems. And, perhaps most importantly, they have been learning the value of tidying up after themselves, showing responsibility and respect for their shared learning environment.
