We are incredibly grateful to one of our wonderful school families for creating the most amazing new garden feature for our school grounds. Using reclaimed breeze blocks, a talented parent and her daughter have hand-painted a collection of stunning book covers, transforming them into beautiful pieces of outdoor artwork. The attention to detail is incredible. Every design has been carefully hand-painted and then glossed for longevity so they can be enjoyed by our children for years to come.

Each block takes around 4 hours to complete, not including drying time for the varnish, which makes the finished display even more special. Their creativity, care and generosity have created something unique for our school community. The finished pieces look gorgeous and are the perfect addition during our Year of Reading. They celebrate imagination, storytelling and the joy that books can bring so beautifully.

We are so thankful for this thoughtful gift to our school. We know the children will love spotting the different book covers and talking about their favourite stories.
