Last week, our School Choir treated both the children and staff at Gomer, parents their families. The choir is led by Mr Pilott, who also delivers our vocal tuition programme. His energy, passion and expertise help to bring out the very best in our young singers, and we are extremely grateful for all that he does. The children clearly enjoy every minute of choir and vocal lessons, and their performances were a wonderful celebration of their hard work and commitment throughout the year.
Singing is one of the most accessible and rewarding musical activities for children. Research shows that singing can improve confidence, memory, concentration and communication skills. It also promotes wellbeing, encourages teamwork and gives children a wonderful sense of achievement. Most importantly, singing is great fun!
The choir enjoy learning a wide variety of songs and performing together as part of a supportive and encouraging group. If your child enjoys singing and would like to join the choir, please do let us know. We are always delighted to welcome new members who are keen to give it a try.
