Today, our Year 6 children enjoyed a trip to the beach, making the most of the sunshine with a day full of fun, teamwork and adventure.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of activities. Some groups headed to Solent Springs Adventure Golf, where they showed great enthusiasm, resilience and sportsmanship before enjoying a well-earned ice cream. Our thanks go to the team at Solent Springs for helping to make this such an enjoyable experience.

Other groups took on a series of beach challenges, including building the tallest tower, finding stones with naturally occurring holes and searching for the most spherical pebble. The children demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity and problem-solving as they worked together to complete each task.

There was also time to enjoy a picnic on the nearby field, giving everyone the opportunity to relax, chat with friends and refuel before the afternoon’s activities. The children also put their STEM skills into practice as they explored balance, movement and structures using ropes and the climbing equipment.

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, friendship and memorable experiences. As their time at King’s Academy Gomer draws to a close, opportunities like this allow our Year 6 children to create lasting memories together before they move on to the next stage of their education.

Well done, Year 6—we’re so pleased you had such a brilliant day!
