This week has been an exciting one at King’s Academy Gomer as we welcomed our new Year 3 pupils and supported our current Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 children as they stepped into their new classes for September. Transition is a significant milestone for every child. Whether joining a new school or moving into a new classroom with a new teacher, it is a big step. These opportunities are so important in helping children build confidence, make new friendships, become familiar with new routines and look forward to the year ahead.
We are delighted to say that the week was a huge success. It was wonderful to see children embracing new experiences with enthusiasm, resilience and positivity. We are incredibly proud of how well everyone adapted and supported one another. It has been great to hear from Year 6 and their secondary school experience.
To celebrate a successful transition, we rounded off Tuesday with a fantastic school disco! It was a an opportunity for the children to relax, have fun and celebrate together after such an important day.
A huge thank you goes to our FROGS (Friends of Gomer School) for organising such a fun event. We are also incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who generously gave up their time to help make the disco such a success. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps create memorable experiences for our children.
