Despite being a little tired (due to lots of activity and perhaps not as much sleep as the teachers would have liked on the first night, Year 5 continues to enjoy their time away at Stubbington Study Centre. Yesterday, the children all thoroughly enjoyed navigating the ‘Earthquake Experience’. The weather (as ordered) continues to be glorious so much time has been spent outside, making use of the Stubbington grounds in addition to some indoor team building. The children used their sketching skills to good effect and were mesmerised by the array of taxidermied animals. They were able to solve the mystery at the Pirate Court and big Team Gomer did a sterling job at dressing-up last night. With thanks to Stubbington for feeding and looking after us so well, to the children for being awesome and the adults who volunteer their time to make such residentials possible. We were also delighted that one of our Parent Governors volunteered to support the evening ‘shift’ with the class teachers and Miss Tuckley and Miss Sewell. Expect tired children to return today – who will need a shower or bath also! With thanks to our parents for supporting this visit. Go Gomer!
