We are kicking off the month with exciting news and activities! Congratulations to Hudson Horne in Year 3, who has been named Player of the Year by Locks Heath Lions – what a fantastic achievement! Year 6 pupils have also been busy applying for jobs, and we are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and effort. Check out the website and Facebook page for the latest updates on who’s ‘in post. Additionally, all our newsletters can be found here.
Here are some important dates to keep in mind this October:
- 7th October: Harvest Celebration – We’re collecting food items for the local Food & Basics Bank.
- 10th October: World Mental Health Day – We are supporting YoungMinds with our Hello Yellow non-uniform day. Don’t forget to wear something yellow!
- 15th October: International Day – The children will explore Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, and Japan, with a themed Mexican lunch to enjoy!
- 18th October: Show Racism the Red Card – Wear red accessories as we raise awareness of this important cause.
- 25th October: The Big Draw – Parents and carers are invited to draw with their children from 2:40 pm. Don’t forget to sign up.
We have also got a Spooky Disco coming up on the 24th of October. Tickets are £3 at the door, and we are inviting spooky costumes. Volunteers are needed, so if you can lend a hand, please let the FROGS know.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the Fireworks Spectacular on the 6th of November. Tickets will be available soon – it’s always a fantastic event for our community!
As always, we encourage families to support our school events and keep up with the latest on attendance, uniform expectations, and healthy snacks. Let’s make this term one to remember!
