What a splendid day it was at King’s Academy Gomer on Friday, under glorious sunshine. Our final Groundforce of the year saw a super turnout once again – 43 volunteers. The whole community came together in full force, rolling up sleeves, sharing laughter and working towards a shared goal – our school grounds in readiness for the upcoming Gosport in Bloom. We were so pleased to welcome so many enthusiastic helpers: pupils, parents, carers, grandparents and staff. With thanks to your hands-on support:
- We revitalised flower beds and borders, giving them a fresh burst of colour
- Paths and borders were tidied and transformed
- Plants, and shrubs were tidied supporting our vibrant summer displays
- And more..
A school environment that’s cared for and beautiful:
- Embodies our ethos of outdoor learning and responsibility
- Supports wellbeing, for children and adults alike, to connect with nature
- Enhances the pride we all feel in our school
- Demonstrates real care and collaboration; hallmarks of the Gomer Growers and our wider community
To every volunteer who came out: thank you. Your commitment made this final Groundforce event a shining success and ensured our beautiful grounds are ready to represent Gomer with pride in Gosport in Bloom.
Thank you all for making Gomer bloom brighter than ever!
