At King’s Academy Gomer we are excited to share that Slipper Friday is now a much-loved weekly tradition. This fun initiative began last year, thanks to one of our School Council elections, where pupils put forward their own creative ideas to make school life even better. The winning suggestion? A chance to swap school shoes for slippers every Friday! Children are warmly invited to bring their slippers into school each week to change into. If you’d prefer, your child can keep a pair on their peg so they’re always ready for Friday. Slipper Friday is totally optional, but those who do take part will agree it’s super comfy and a lovely way to end the week on a cosy note.
