Last week in assembly, Mrs Mulhall launched our new Genre of the Month, and this month we are focusing on biographies. The children were quick to notice on World Book Day that several members of staff had dressed up as real-life figures featured in some of the biographies we shared! It was a fun way to bring these inspiring stories to life and sparked lots of curiosity about the remarkable people behind the books.
Our Genre of the Month initiative is designed to reinforce the importance of reading and to encourage children to read widely across different types of books. Biographies are a fantastic way for children to learn about the lives of influential people, discover how they overcame challenges, and be inspired by their achievements. We are looking forward to seeing what the children choose to read. Please keep the book reviews coming, and if you haven’t already, why not try a biography this month? You might discover an incredible story about someone who changed the world!
