A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who showed that they are every bit as competitive as our children by taking part in the Sports Day parent/carer races. Whether it was the egg and spoon race, the skipping race or the sprint, our brave volunteers stepped up to the challenge and thundered down the track to the cheers, laughter and encouragement of both children and adults alike. The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see everyone joining in the fun.

For some of our Year 6 families, this marked their final Gomer Sports Day. We are delighted that a few of them left with some very worthy victories and memories to treasure. For others, there is always next year and another chance to claim sporting glory!

Thank you for embracing the spirit of the day and helping to make Sports Day such a memorable event for our children. Your willingness to join in created smiles all around and showed our pupils that taking part, having fun and giving your best are what really matter.
