Last week, our School Council were delighted to visit the Gosport Mayor, Councillor Earle, at the Town Hall. The children represented our school with pride and demonstrated what wonderful ambassadors they are. The visit included a chance to meet the Mayor and learn about the role of local government in our community. They looked around the Mayor’s meeting spaces and impressed everyone with their thoughtful, planned-out questions, showing both curiosity and a genuine interest in civic life. The School Council returned to school inspired and full of ideas. They are excited to use what they learned, along with the photos from their visit, to plan an engaging assembly for the rest of the school. This assembly will be an opportunity to share their experience, educate their peers about local government, and encourage others to consider how they can contribute to our community. Well done to the School Council for their exemplary conduct and insightful questions.
